GATEWAY MULTINET
Flexible multistandard gateway/concentrator
The concentrator is a device capable of receiving radio-frequency data from multiple peripheral devices operating at 169 MHz and LoRa/LoRaWAN (such as smart meters, sensors, and other IoT devices) and forwarding them to appropriate management platforms (e.g. SAC) through various WAN interfaces (LTE/GPRS/Ethernet). From this perspective, the concentrator can be defined as the true “orchestra conductor” of the entire network, the central hub ensuring the correct operation of the smart metering system.
It features a modular hardware architecture that provides a high degree of installation flexibility, both in terms of power supply options and radio connectivity.
The concentrator is able to manage multiple services simultaneously. It is suitable for collecting data from gas, water, and waste (urban solid waste) meters and can also integrate additional sectors typically associated with smart city projects, such as parking, lighting, and heating. Depending on system requirements, it can be integrated with additional communication modules, either remote or local, in various combinations, including operation across different frequency bands and service-specific protocols.
Possible concentrator configurations:
-
Exclusive 169 MHz mode or LoRa/LoRaWAN mode
-
Simultaneous operation in both 169 MHz and LoRa/LoRaWAN modes
For 169 MHz operation, up to four radio modules can be configured, either on different channels or in isochannel mode.
IoT Edge Gateway
IoT-EG is both a protocol and processing gateway, featuring a high number of standard interfaces — both wired and wireless — and is optimized from a power-consumption perspective so that it can also be used in solutions powered by renewable energy. The substantial number of interfaces enables IoT-EG to connect to industrial field devices via wired mode and allows connectivity with major wireless networks, whether standard or low-power. Due to these characteristics, IoT-EG is particularly suitable for use in vertical applications within the IoT and IIoT sectors. IoT-EG is a scalable system in terms of peripherals, computing power, and storage.
